The support is aimed at people who are legally obliged to pay the funeral costs but do not have the necessary financial means. This includes heirs, spouses, children, parents, siblings, grandparents and grandchildren of the deceased person.
Prerequisites for utilization
To apply for the assumption of costs, you need:
- Copy of the death certificate
- Proof of assets and income of the deceased person and the person responsible for the funeral
- Bank statements, pension statements, proof of insurance and maintenance
- Order to the funeral home and, if applicable, notice of performance from the public order office
